Max appears to have a tall and fairly bulky figure. He has blonde hair and has two curved scar scratches on both sides of his eye.

In the chapters of the manga, Max seems to be in love and has feelings for Eri as soon the news about Eri switching school was brought. In the last part of the manga in the graduation, Max has said that if Harima ever made Eri cry, he will pay.. Which is evident that he does care for Sawachika.
