Hiroyoshi Aso (麻生 広義, Asō Hiroyoshi) is the 'Dark Horse' of Class 2-C. He makes his first appearance in Season 1 Episode 07 at the Pool Hockey match. While participating in the game, he was a teammate alongside Kenji Harima.

Afterwards, Hiroyoshi mostly plays a minor role, appearing every now and then in the anime to assist the main characters. Furthermore, his most prominent role is in the basketball arc.

Talents[]

Aso is an athletic type of person who is good at most sports, and he teamed up with Mikoto Suo and Ryuuhei Suga in the Kibasen contest and was very successful in taking out their opposition.

Aso is a very fast runner as he comes in first place in the 100m Dash, but he is the 2nd runner in the Class 2-C Guys' Relay Race Team as he has handed the baton to Kyosuke Imadori.

Besides track and field, Aso is also very good at basketball as he is invited by Satsuki Tawaraya to coach the girls' school basketball team, and he is a strong player for the men's basketball team.

Aside from sports, Aso is also good at cooking Chinese food, and he works at a Chinese restaurant with Sarah Adiemus.

Ryuuhei Suga[]

Suga is Aso's best friend and wing man as they often seem to hang out a lot together. Because of his cool and easygoing personality, Aso has many other friends, both guys and girls, including Takeichi Fuyuki and Kyosuke Imadori.

Mikoto Suo[]

Aso has not expressed any real interest in any of the girls, but many are interested if he and Mikoto will end up together. At first, Aso and Mikoto appeared together as a Kibasen Team. They have gradually moved on to the Basketball Arc, and most recently, a date. In Season 3, Aso and Mikoto went on several dates before their breakup for unknown reasons.

Etymology[]

  • The name Hiroyuki means "wide, broad, spacious" (広) (hiro) and "righteous" (義) (yoshi).
  • Hiroyuki's surname Aso means "hemp, flax" (麻) (asa) and "life, living" (生) (ou).

  • Aso's family runs a ramen restaurant.
